Educational Workshops
At Victims’ Voice Durham CIC, we believe that education is a powerful tool in breaking the cycle of domestic abuse. Our workshops are designed to inform, empower, and equip individuals and communities with the knowledge they need to recognise abuse, respond safely, and advocate for lasting change.
Rooted in lived experience and professional expertise, each workshop offers a compassionate, inclusive space to explore the complexities of domestic abuse—from subtle red flags to systemic barriers that silence survivors.

Could you spot the warning signs of domestic abuse? In this online workshop we educate you on the ‘red flags’ of coercive control, which underpins domestic abuse.
The real, authentic voices of victims are essential in education on the early signs of domestic abuse. One survivor shared her story with the Domestic Abuse Commissioner. She highlights the ‘red flags’ in her relationship here.
”There is often a pattern to a perpetrator’s behaviour and there might be red flags early on that we choose to ignore, or they may be so subtle we may not recognise for what they are”.

Whether you’re a frontline worker, survivor, ally, or community leader, our workshops offer a foundation for informed action and collective healing. Together, we can build safer spaces—and amplify the voices that need to be heard.
